As a research fellow for the National Science Foundation, my team’s project in the field of Industrial-Organizational Psychology is a contribution to the field and the NSF-REU program. We investigating candidate-job fit, using our designed job advertisements, eye trackers and personality assessments in our experiment to determine correlations between candidate personalities, desires and phrasing in advertisements.
Our research study and data collection phase is currently ongoing. Results will be concluded, written up and published in May 2025.
Working with 2 other team members, I lead project management from start to finish. I perform literature reviews, initiate team meetings, develop methodology, design stimuli, manage 6 participants per hourly session 3x daily, and communicate with members to ensure compliance with industry standards for ethics. We designed 2 job ads on Canva and 1 Qualtrics survey to administer IPIP Scale Personality Measures.
